Group 1 Math

In numeracy this week, we were learning about adding using tidy numbers.  We were working with problems like 37 + 38.

To solve this problem we can either:
move 2 numbers from one to the other making it 35 + 40, which is easy to make up to 75

OR

We can add on to each (or either) number to make it easier.

37 + 38 = ? as 40 + 40 = 80    =75
