Financial Literacy

In room 19 we have been learning about financial literacy. We have been learning the key financial literacy names and they're meanings.
  • Income - Something given to you that you have earned
EG Walking the neighbours dog each day - $6.
  • Trade off - Something you lose to take up another opportunity
EG I'm now old enough to work at the super market, but that means I can't play soccer with my friends after school if I get a job.
  • Balance - Is what you start off with
EG I want to start a car wash with my friends. I have $20 to start it off with.
  • Expense - Is how much something costs
EG I went to the dairy one day with my brother. We bought two lollie bags at $1 each.

We have been investigating the costs involved in things like
- cooking a meal for our family
- getting a new pet for our family
- having a birthday party
- going on a day out with our friends
- going on holiday.

We have been using our graphing skills to present the data
